May 2015 saw London Labour gain seven seats across our city - more than any other region. Yet with a Tory majority government, Londoners face tough times ahead. The problems we all see across our communities - thousands of our friends and neighbours hit by the bedroom tax, record numbers accessing food banks, spiralling rents and an NHS creaking at the seams, are replicated across our city.
The housing crisis, low pay and lack of opportunity for young people, like my own daughters, are issues that desperately need to be addressed. Londoners need a Labour Mayor – and that’s why, after careful thought and consultation with friends and family, I have decided to put my name forward for the Labour party Mayoral selection. But I need your help!
