After more than six months of campaigning to bring Parkrun to Wandsworth's green spaces, Wandsworth Council have finally agreed drop the charge for using the borough's parks and commons. They have agreed for a free 12 month trial on Tooting Common - so look out for details of the first run soon.

"After more than six months of the council refusing to allow Parkrun to use Wandsworth's green spaces, they have finally backed down!
“Here in Wandsworth we all count ourselves very lucky to be surrounded by so many green spaces. Like many other local runners, I want to see us make the most of them.
"This is great news for our borough, and a brilliant example of what we can achieve when the community campaigns together. A huge thank you must go to Andy, who has really driven this campaign, and first asked me to get involved. It was a pleasure to be a part of the campaign and help bring Parkrun to Wandsworth. Look out Wandsworth, Parkrun is coming!"
