Over 700 children are registered to attend the centre which began in one classroom on the top floor of Smallwood Primary School. With the support of the school and Wandsworth Council they have been able to convert an old Victorian building into a modern state of the art development.
The centre provides social and educational support to families with children under 5 years old in the community. Sessions include parenting groups, family support, speech and language support and health provision. After being inspecting by Ofsted in May 2012 they were awarded “Good”.
The event included singing with the children led by Winston, a song from Year 5 and 6 students and the cutting of a cake.
